Post Christmas cum New Year gathering

Today went to cousin's place for potluck dinner gathering. For the past years, this has been our practice. We would go to one of our houses to celebrate Christmas and to welcome the new year. The kids would have the most fun, as they received the most presents :)
Mummy made her 6th pair spectacles today!! Gosh, she has so many pairs. Well... she said she looks better in spectacles, cos her eyebags and dark circles would be totally covered ;p
Vain vain mummy!

Er Bo, Auntie Xiuli and Junying Gor Gor came to our house today.
Daddy and mummy bought a toy 'car' for Gor Gor, but its battery needed to be charged first before playing. Hence while waiting for the battery, Gor Gor played with the one and only toy (suitable for him in our house) - the blocks. However today I was able to play with him :)

It's Christmas :)

First Christmas with our darling :)
We had a lazy morning, only went out in the late afternoon. Went Suntec to see if we could 'feel' Christmas hee...
Hubby bought a wallet and a watch as Christmas presents for me :)
He already gotten his yesterday :)
Wanted to have my 'Happy Brownie' at Anderson, but was closed, so went NYDC instead. Hmm.. the brownie was also very nice, yummy...

Met up with Kim. At first we were thinking of going to Fidget at Turf City, in the end we ended up at Tampines Mall (as usual)... We didn't stay long at the mall too, as Jamie is now walking, Kim had slight difficulty handling her. Hence we went to her place instead, and spent the rest of the day there. Easier to handle the kids in a confined area, heh... lazy mummies ;p

Xmas gathering 1

Went Auntie Linda's house for potluck lunch Xmas gathering. By the time mummy got everything ready, we reached her place at 3 plus, gosh... daddy and mummy were real hungry, so were the other aunties and uncles... Luckily we were not the last to reach. Auntie Small Jac and Uncle Mathew were the last. All the adults were so hungry that they started their late lunch without Auntie Small Jac.Auntie Linda has a dog, and of cos my dear timid mummy was really scared of it. Uncle John had to tie the dog, the poor dog only had a very small space to move about.
I was the only kid there and I got a nice present from Auntie Cleo and Uncle Barry.
As usual, I allowed no one to carry me. I am always very shy.... But I played with them when daddy and mummy were around :)

Time for the adults to exchange their presents :) hee... they all looked so happy and excited ;p

Holiday Day 5

Went to the zoo today :) We reached there about 11 am plus, bought the tickets which had unlimited tram rides, totalled $46. Hubby and I weren't hungry, but we couldn't resist the aroma smell from KFC. It was also Joian's lunch time, so fed him the delicious porridge which I had prepared :)We started our walk at around 12 noon, it was very hot. We bought a hat from the zoo shop, which coast $19... Think due to the glaring sun, Joian was willing to wear the hat ;p We went to watch the 'Rainforest Fights Back'. When we reached the Shaw Foundation Amphitheatre, it was already very packed, but we managed to get seats. The show was quite interesting. Joian was quite cooperative throughout the show, he seemed to enjoy himself ;p After the show, we took photos with the performers. The lady passed me a snake. I couldn't believe myself that I dared to hold it... It was fine until little Joian wanted to touch the snake too, I was really freaked out, so I quickly returned the snake, phew...After the show, we went for the 'Splash Safari' show. It was already very packed when we reached there. We couldn't get any seats, and from we stood, we couldn't really watch the show clearly. At that time Joian was getting sleepy too. Hence after the show, he took his nap on his daddy's shoulder :) The 3rd show we watched was the 'Elephants At Work & Play'. Was a very interesting show. The elephants are really strong and well-trained. Joian was awaked by then, but he was more interested in his pacifer than the elephants ;p By the way, there is no need to buy tickets for tram rides, not that they are free, but we had no time to sit on it. The queue was always very long, moreover, walking was a better choice as we could see more things. The zoo closed at 6 pm, we walked till about half past 6. Then we fed Joian his porridge, still warm (hee, bought a not so cheap container for his porridge). And I had finally tasted Ben & Jerry ice-cream, ha... suan ku hor?! We didn't take many pictures, as, sigh... camera's battery was flat.

Holiday Day 4

The weather was finally good to go swimming! We once said that if we were to go swimming at the Achorvale swimming pool, we would walk there, however, hee... we drove... too hot to walk.
The parking lot had shrunk, due to the construction of the stadium. Luckily we managed to get a lot, the last lot available :)
Joian was real nervous and scared when he first entered into the pool, he clung to us tightly. After awhile, he relaxed a little and even splashed the water, but still held on to us quite tightly. He only played for about 30 minutes, and I got him out of the water. When I bathed him, he got scared again and cried really loudly, and he tired himself out and was asleep after I fed him. Hubby continued his swim while I carried my darling, cuddling him to sleep :)
After the swim, we went home to get ready for a wedding dinner at night. At first I was worried that Joian might be as cranky as the other dinner that we went few weeks ago. However this time, he was not, except when he was hungry. Other than that, he entertained himself by playing with the drawstring of his pants :).

Holiday Day 3

Sentosa!! Here we come :)
It was really fun to bring our darling out. Though he was still very young, I am sure he also had fun. I never knew I could be so happy :), not that we were at Sentosa, but am very happy and heartwarming to have a child of my own :)

Joian was very sticky to hubby, he just refused to let me carry him.
So do you realise? There are many photos of daddy and son, but so few of mummy and son :(

We then went to Vivo City for our dinner and to do window shopping. It was rather late, so we just had a simple meal at Long John Silver. By the time we finished, most shops were closed and Joian was very sleepy. However when we went to see the big Christmas tree, he woke up, but was a little cranky.

Joian was playing with one auntie.

Tiring but happy. (Standard ending of a compositon ;p)

Holiday Day 2

Today we planned to go swimming if the weather was good. However it was too windy, so in the end we 'nuan' at home till about 5 plus, then we decided to go Queensway Shopping Centre.
As usual, hubby ate our favourite laksa, but today I had the chicken curry, which was also very delicious... Hee... must again thank our darling for his good behaviour during our meal, muack muack darling ;p
When we were at the Sportslink shop looking at shoes, one salesgirl suddenly came up and wanted to carry Joian. Luckily Joian was afraid of strangers, and didn't want to be carried. We remembered this salesgirl. She was the one who kept touching Joian the last time when we were at Queensway.
Today was hubby's turn to spend money. He bought a pair of adidas shoes and a nike fleece jacket. I wanted to buy a sweater too, but couldn't find one I like.
After Queensway, we went to Marina Barrage. I wanted to go when they had the opening ceremony, but it kind of slipped off my mind. This new Singapore icon was really impressive. As we went at night, the wind was very strong. We had a long, nice and cooling walk.

Nice view from the top.

Another water-playing area for children.

Holiday Day 1

Hubby and I decided not to go to China and Hong Kong for holidays, as the weather would be quite cold there. We were worried that Joian would fall sick in the cold weather. Then we were thinking of driving up to KL, then up Cameron Highlands. However due to recent accident at the North-South Highway and landslides, we decidied not to go, and to spend our holidays in Singapore.
So today the itinerary was to go City Hall to shop for Christmas presents. Upon reaching, hubby and I had our late lunch at Burger King. Joian sat in the baby chair, entertaining himself. Once again, we must thank him for letting us finish our meal :)
There are 2 Christmas gatherings in the coming weekends. Buying presents was no easy task, but buying for myself was real easy, haha... I bought a pair of earrings which cost me nearly a hundred.
We managed to get most presents at City Hall, and one from Funan. That small christmas tree was at Funan.

Jamie's birthday party

Yesterday we went to Jamie Jie Jie's 1 year old birthday party. This was the second birthday party I attended this year. Uncle Ken organised many games for the children, but I was too young to participate..

Auntie Yan'e

Mummy's best friend came over to our house to discuss things with Daddy and Mummy. Wow... Aunty Yan'e and Daddy had a long long serious discussion, while Mummy and I sat one side, listening to them.
Took a few photos with Auntie Yan'e, she sure could do funny faces ;p
