Hubby and I are down with cough. I think we have passed the germs to Joian. He has been coughing for the past few days with slight running nose. So we brought Joian to see his PD today. Doc said that his lungs are clear, just that she could hear some phlegm. She prescribed some mild cough mixture and running nose medicine, and told us to monitor him over the weekend.

After the visit to PD, hubby and I decided to have our hair cut. We brought Joian along to the salon, which is just near our flat. Joian was considered well-behaved. At first he was in the stroller, but of cos he made some noise, so I carried him and let him sit on my lap while the hairdresser blew dry my hair. When hubby finished his haircut, he carried Joian. So not too bad ya, we could have our haircut even with our darling around :)

New Toys

Bought 2 wrist rattles for my darling. Hmm... he doesn't seem to know how to play with them. In fact, they are still too big for him, keep falling off his wrists. He likes to stare at his fist :) Some pictures of him staring at his fist, I don't think he is looking at the rattle.

Jamie & Joian

Brought Joian to Kim's house on Monday. Jamie was asleep when we reached. When she woke up, we 2 mummies decided to take photos of our darlings lying side by side, hee... to compare their lengths. So let's look at the 2 months old lying beside a 6 months old :)

Our darling is 2 months old

Today Joian is 2 months old :)
For the past few mornings, when I talked to him, he would smile at me :)
However he seldom smile in the afternoon or night time :( but it is a good start ;)

Again...

I had fever yesterday night. It just came suddenly, and the pain on the right side just came together with the fever, and I knew immediately I have the infection again :( Really sian lo...
So I did not go to school for the staff and department meetings. Hubby sent me and Joian to my mum's place so that mum could look after Joian while I had my rest, and hubby could also rest as he worked night shift the night before.

Our 2nd anniversary

Today is our 2nd wedding anniversary.
I bought a cake to surprise hubby. He was really surprised :)
We sent Joian to my MIL place and then went to Dempsey Hill for our dinner. Didn't go elsewhere after dinner, cos 9 plus is Joian's sleeping time.
Miss you, my darling :)

Today is Father's Day!

We didn't celebrate Father's Day today. Joian was too young to wish his daddy. I already wished my hubby yesterday night on behalf of Joian :) Well, I took a few shots of the father and son while on the way to the birthday celebration.

A birthday celebration

Today we went to Downtown East to celebrate my good friend's daughter's one year old birthday. Joian was quite well-behaved, except for the time when he needed diaper change.

Tigger and Eeyore playing time

Joian doesn't know how to play with the 2 stuff toys, but he certainly wouldn't mind his daddy playing the toys with him :)

Joian's playmat time

Borrowed this playmat from my younger sis. Finally got the stuffs washed and set up for Joian to play. He seems to enjoy it :)

Saw gynae on Wednesday. She prescibed me antibiotics for a week. Today I feel much better, no more fever, I still feel slightly sore and pain on the left side. Hopefully after the course of antibiotics, I will totally recover and need not see doc again.

This morning, Joian smiled at me when I was changing diaper for him. I was so happy, quickly asked my sleepy hubby to look at Joian. However, he didn't smile to us in the afternoon lo... He is going to be 2 months old soon, accordingly, he would be able to recognise people (hopefully can recognise me and hubby first) and smile at people.

Mummy me is sick...

This morning after I had fed Joian at about 3 plus, I felt pain in my left breast. Not that he caused it, he basically rejected the left side and only latched on the right breast. So I boiled some water and massaged my breast, pumped out the milk, hoping that it would be better. However no, worst still, when I went to bed, I felt very cold. Sigh... I had high fever (39 degree celsius). I was worried that I would have breast infection :( So today I threw away all the milk that I pumped. Already made appointment to see my gynae tomorrow morning. Hope everything would be fine...

Just now after I gave Joian his last feed, I couldn't pat him to sleep. Hence I put him down on bed to sleep on his own and I went to do my own stuffs. Then I heard some cute little sounds coming from him. I realised that he was licking little fist happily. Ha... he looked so cute, and he slept :) Hee... he finally succeeded :)

Vision getting better :)

This morning when Joian cried, I used the rattle to distract him. He was able to focus on the rattle :) This was the first time :) For the past few days, he was also trying to lick his little left fist, he looked so cute in his attempts to do so, cos he would always miss his little fist :)

Motherhood Fair @ Expo

Today hubby worked, so I brought Joian to the Motherhood Fair with my good friend. Two of us with our babies in our arms, started the shopping spree :). We didn't buy many stuffs, only bought many packets of baby wipes, cos they were real cheap. I also bought a feet rattle for Joian. Hope he likes it.
Singapore Expo is not breast-feeding friendly at all. We couldn't find a nursing room. Well.. actually we didn't check with the information counter, cos it was too far from where we were.. However from what we saw, we gathered there wasn't any nursing room lo. So when I wanted to feed Joian, Kim had to use the nappy to cover me, and there were many people passing us, wow... quite challenging :). I'm still trying to get use to feeding him in public if there is no nursing room...
When I wanted to change Joian's diaper, he couldn't stop crying. 2 aunties with babies stopped to look at us. One of them told me to carry Joian first and not let him cry so badly, I didn't want to, but she kept telling me, so stressed man...
At the end of the day, we were both quite pleased with ourselves for being able to bring our babies out, without our hubbies, to do our shopping :)

Shopping @ Jurong Point

We went Jurong Point to do some shopping with my sis and her family.
Hubby bought me a crystal bracelet, hee... to thank me for the delivery of Joian, heh... This bracelet will bless me with health and youth, ha...
Joian was quite well-behaved while we shopped. I wanted to buy him some long pants and nice gai gai long sleeve T-shirts, but couldn't find the right size, they were all too big for him. Currently, whenever we go to places with air-con, he has only one long sleeve T-shirt and one long pants for gai gai. The others are all pyjamas. hence we couldn't go to shopping mall too often, ha... he has nothing to wear :(

Joian looks like a kola bear when he sleeps in this position :P
Feel like pinching his chubby cheeks, hee...

On the tummy :)

Joian could raise his head rather high, check it out in the video below :)

3rd visit to PD - First Jab

Today was Joian's 3rd visit to PD. He weighs 4.8 kg and is 54 cm long, hmm... but he looks longer than that... We waited for almost an hour. Joian slept throughout the entire waiting time. Finally it was our turn, Dr Lim (Joian's PD) first did the developmental check, then she administered the 6-in-1 jab followed by the rotavirus oral vaccine. I carried Joian while hubby tried to distract him. He didn't cry alot, just for a short while.

I don't like soft toys, in fact am afraid of them. However, hubby couldn't resist buying the 2 little stuff toys for Joian. Well... must admit they do look cute, but I can't stare at them for too long...

An outing at East Coast Park

'Today Daddy and Mummy bought me to East Coast Park. We were there with mummy's good friends, Aunty Yan'e, Aunty Lijin and their families. I wouldn't say it was fun cos I was asleep most of the time, hee... which was good for Daddy and Mummy, as they were able to have their lunch :)'
