Rainbow

It has been a long time since hubby and I saw a rainbow.
Today, we saw a nice, big one when we were on the way to my MIL's house.
I was able to capture a few shots of the rainbow. This is the best among the ones I took :)

While hubby was changing diaper for Joian, this little cheeky fellow kept sticking out his tongue ;P Here's a few shots. PS: pictures were taken before he fell ill...

Updates on events - 8 February 2009

Joian was feeling unwell, but we decided to go to hubby's friend's son baby shower when we saw that he was feeling ok. Anyway we did not stay long at the baby shower.Joian was having fun playing with the kitchen set and the unknown Jie Jie.

In the evening, Joian was still feeling ok, so we went to AMK Hub. I think there was where his cough came... We have thought that his slight fever was due to the growing of this upper tooth, but who would have known that the fever went on for days. We are really inexperienced parents... By the way Joian had his first formula milk at a public place. A little nervous when making his milk at the hub.

In the evening, we then went to my cousin's place for his house warming cum son's birthday. We saw my cousin's neighbour's baby, who was born on 8 April 2009. Can see their size difference?
Note: Joian simply likes to play with boxes, not the toys :p

We went to visit my godparents. Surprisingly, Joian was not too afraid of them. In fact, he had fun crawling and playing with a wooden toy :)

A sickly week

Joian has been having fever since last Thursday, and he started having bad cough since last Saturday night. Went to see a GP on Sunday, but he did not get any better. So on Monday, hubby brought him to see his PD. Due to his up-down fever for many days, PD prescibed antibiotics for him. However after 2 doses of antibiotics, he developed rashes. So we went to PD again. PD couldn't diagnosed if the rashes were due to the medicine or otherwise, so we stopped the antibiotics and monitored him.
His fever again came back on Thursday, and we went to see PD again. This time PD decided to do a blood test and a CRP test. She said the CRP test was to be done just in case the blood test results was not sufficient enough. At the meantime, PD attached a urine bag to him, cos need to do a urine test, in order to know if it is urine infection. The nurse told us to be around the clinic so that once he passed urine, she could do the urine test immediately. But we waited for an hour plus, still no urine. So we went home to wait for the blood test results.
The results came back in the afternoon. Too many results, the only thing I remembered was that the CRP reading was very high, so PD said Joian was to do an X-ray... so on the same day, we went Sengkang Polyclinic to do the X-ray. Another traumatising experience for my boy, cos during the drawing of blood, Joian was really very frightened, he kept on crying, really very poor boy. We waited for 45 minutes for the X-ray to be ready.
We then went to see PD in the evening. PD said the X-ray showed some markings on right lung, but luckily they were not so significant. Hence based on the blood test results and CRP results, PD decided to treat Joian's illness as bacteria infection instead of viral infection. I asked the PD the difference between the 2. She told me that there is no treatment for viral infection, but for bacteria infection, it can be treated with antibiotics. So Joian was put under another course of antibiotics, and we were to return on Monday for review.
Hope darling will recover soon.... he has to take so many medicine these days...
PS. mummy me is also sick... sigh.... so he may not recover so fast...

Time flies, Joian is already 9 months plus. Nowadays he tries to stand without support. He also tries to walk without support. He is able to move 1 step, but of cos, he would fall :)
He is now very good at clapping and waving, and would do hi-5 if asked to, of cos that depends on his mood ;p
The one thing that remains quite the same is that he still does not smile much when he is at public places ;0
