Barney @ United Square

It was the first time we brought Joian to watch such show. Sis and I arranged to meet at United Square.
I think Joian likes to watch but he was more excited about the show when we were home looking at the photos.
Joian played on his favourite train ride.

Playing with Julien.
It was basically Joian chasing Julien, Julien running away from him. Poor Ashley was slightly jealous of them, so we asked the two little boys to 'sayang' her, still she was unhappy...

A uniform too big for my Joian :)

New fishing toys

Happily playing with his new fishing toys.

Having fun with his blocks

Kids just have very good memory. Must really expose them to many things...
Joian made this simple structure by recalling what I did the night before. I could tell that he was very happy and proud of himself, so am I :)

What are you...

Hubby was helping Joian fixing some blocks stuffs.
Joian asked," Daddy, what are you trying to do?"
Hubby didn't hear, so I answered," Daddy is trying to help you fix the blocks."
Joian said,"Oh..."
I was impressed...

Time flies

Let's see...

Our darling has grown up:)

Yesterday Joian was lying on the floor, looking at his trains in his playroom (our balcony). Hubby then told him not to lie on the floor. His reply was,'Daddy I am lying on my hand, not on the floor.' Haha, so cheeky. He was really only resting on his hand :)

Poooooo

Stil poo on diaper, refused to poo in the potty.

Reading with Daddy

Mid-Autumn Festival

This year, we bought a Thomas candle lantern for Joian. We also bought many small paper lanterns as back-up, for the fear of Joian's lantern being burnt. Surprisingly, Joian was able to handle his lantern very well :)

Dinner @ Marina Square - Thai Express

Had a craving for tom yam soup, so went to Thai Express for dinner. We ordered 3 main dishes, and were very full at the end of the dinner. There was a F1 Ferrari racing car display. But naughty yet shy Joian simply dared not stand alone to take photo.
Joian was very interested in remote car demo.

Our little darling

8 Sept - Marina Bay Sand Hotel

Hubby's colleague gave him one complimentary hotel stay. I was actually quite excited about the stay. Unfortunately, it rained that day, so we were not able to swim in the pool. As we could not extend the check-out time, we did not swim the next day too.
As it was raining, no one was swimming or viewing in the Sky Park, hence it looks very nice and cosy.  However when we went up again in the evening, it was packed with guests and visitors. We no longer felt the same as before. It didn't look special nor privileged.

4 Sept - East Coast Park

After going to mum's place, Joian said he wanted to play sand. So we bought some sand toys and headed for East Coast Park.  However when Joian saw the sand, he refused to walk on the sand and insisted hubby to carry him... After placing the mat and chairs, Joian was basically either sitting on my lap or the chair.  When his feet got into contact with the sand, he was very worried, kept asking to wipe the sand off, I ignored him. In the end, hubby was the one playing with the sand.

Spicy food

Yesterday, I had lotong for breakfast. As usual, Joian would want to eat. Even when I told him that it was spicy, he wanted to try, so I gave him. He took it really well, but of cos he still drank water.
He used to make the 'spicy' face when he tasted spicy food, but nowadays he is very 'steady', he wont rush to drink water. Guess he inherited the spicy taste buds from me :)

18 June A visit to the animal farm

Went to a small animal farm at Jalan Kayu yesterday. It was really a small farm, with only 1 horse, 2 goats and few other animals. Nonetheless it was a good trip for Joian. One of the aunties gave him some animal food and he got to feed the geese.
Joian was scared of the horse, he kept saying, " Very scary."

KL Trip 13 June to 16 June

Went for a short trip to KL. Stayed in Crowne Plaza Mutiara Hotel, a very good stay :)
We targetted to leave our house at 10 am, but ended we left at about 11 plus. When we reached the Woodlands custom, the queue was very long.  We were in the queue for 1 hour plus. Hubby drove for the most part of the journey, and I drove when we were approaching KL.  This is only our second time driving to KL (after about three years), hence hubby did the navigation via i-phone, and I drove following his instrcutions. We reached KL at 5 plus... very late...  We were glad that the hotel room was a really nice one, it was cosy. The first thing Joian did was to poo :)
Mid-Valley Mall
There was Toy Story 3 road show.  We happened to buy a Toy Story story book for Joian when we reached the mall. So Joian was very happy to see Buzz (He knew Buzz from HK Disneyland). We got into the queue to take photo with them.  When it was our turn, Joian was so frightened that he used the book to cover his face. So typical of Joian :) but I managed to move it away from his face...
Day 3 - Sunway Lagoon.  Decided to drive to Sunway lagoon. Supposed to be a not too long drive, but we took almost an hour to reach. Hubby navigated and I drove. It is really important for a couple to know how to drive, especially in such a case, when I couldn't read the map well.
