Brian is 9 months old - 3 Dec 2011

Time flies, Brian is already 9 months old.
He now knows that if he wants to drink milk, he has to tilt the bottle :0
He is now able to feed himself :)
He likes to say 'mum mum' alot. is like he is always forever want to eat!!

Our darling Brian, ermmm.... still cant crawl nor stand, hee.... no sign of teeth too. However he is definitely fiercer than his brother.  When he is hungry, he cries very loudly and fiercely!!!

Meet the Parent session - 26 Nov 2011

Yesterday was Meet-the-Parent session in Joian's school.  Feedback from the teachers were generally good, except that his form teacher felt that Joian needs to learn to speak up for himself. She feels that Joian lacks a little confidence. As for his Chinese, the Chinese teacher said that Joian is the only one who could speak in complete sentence when he wants to go toilet, '老师，我要去小便。'

Finding mummy

Few days ago, Brian was in his walker in the living room, and I was in the kitchen. I then called out to him, "Brian, Brian, where is mummy?". He then 'walked' happily to the kitchen :) So cute...

Updates:
- Still wakes up in the night -- sometimes still every 2 hourly...
- Still cant crawl -- maybe we did not put him on mattress often
- Can really cry very loudly when demands not met...

In two more days, Brian will be 8 months old. Time flies...

Back to work

Went back to work last Monday. Busy again...
Time spent with my two darlings is really short. By the time I return home from MIL's place, I have to quickly bathe, then get ready for Joian to go to bed.

Brian is slowly able to sit on his own, without support, for about 5 seconds :)

First semi-solid food

Gave Brian his taste of rice cereal yesterday. He seems to like it, he had 2 teaspoons of it.

Gave him more today :) he finished almost all.

Brian is 6 months old - 3 September 2011

Our darling Brian is 6 months old.  Times really flies, he is 6 months old, which also indicates the end of my leave. Going back to work on 12 September...
Brian now weighs 7.2 kg and 65 cm long. Unlike Joian who could sit by 5 months and stand by the 6th month, Brian could do neither.
Hmm... let's see what Brian can do:
- smile when people play with him
- response to his name
- like to touch new things around him
- like to put things in his mouth (very different from gor gor)

PS. Brian has been a very brave boy when comes to vaccination. Keep it up!

Joian is officially diaper free!!!

On 27 August, after brushing his teeth, Joian told me that he did not want to wear diaper to sleep. I was surprised but was glad that he was the one saying it, rather than I initiate it. I put a changing mat on the bed to let him sleep on it.  Cos I was afraid that he would just pee at night, I did ask him a few times if he wanted to pee, but he didnt want. That made me quite worry.  However, he really didnt pee at all :) But on the second night, he wet the bed and he actually told me to change. Till today, he wet the bed twice,and I would say Joian is officially diaper free at night!
I am really very happy. At the beginning of my maternity leave, I wanted to train Joian not to wear diaper at night, but in the end I gave up the idea, cos SIL said that if his diaper is very full in the morning means that he is still not ready. Really glad that he wanted not to wear out of his own will :)

nth time to the zoo - 31 July 2011

Sister in law had free tickets to the zoo, so here we go the zoo again :)
However I didnt go this time, as Brian was not feeling well.
Joian got to ride on the pony this time, but he dared not have the elephant ride.

First movie date with Joian - 14 August 2011

We finally brought Joian to watch his first movie in cinema!
Hubby's company gave him 4 free tickets to watch Cars 2. We only told Joian about the movie on the very day, as we were afraid that we couldnt go. Both hubby and I were quite apprehensive about bringing Joian for movie. However it turned out that Joian was considered very focussed on the movie. He went toilet only once. And when he wanted to go the second time, I told him to wait awhile as the show was finishing, he didnt fuss too.
Before going to the cinema, I told him that he could not ask too many quesitons and he did not ask a single question throughout the show! That was amazing! Cos every time when he watches at home, he has tonnes of questions.  I also told him that he has to wear jacket as it was cold in the cinema (he doesnt like to wear jacket), and the moment he reached the Cathay, he wanted to wear his jacket :)
As it was free seating, Joian and I sat in front of hubby and Jun Ying. Joian could really kuai kuai sat and watch. Returning from the toilet, he sat with me awhile then moved behind to sit with daddy, and settled happily with daddy to continue watching. Then when hubby went to the toilet, he sat with Jun Ying to watch the show. The final move was when he came to the front to sit on my lap, as hubby sat with me when he returned from toilet. All his movements were very subtle. I am so proud of Joian being able to behave like a big boy in the cinema. Joian never fails to surprise Daddy and Mummy :)
